The Rose of Jericho, also known as the Resurrection Plant, is a desert plant that is famous for its ability to "come back to life" after extended periods of drought. When deprived of water, the plant curls up into a tight ball, appearing dead and lifeless. However, when rehydrated, the plant opens up, unfurls its green leaves, and begins to thrive once again. The Rose of Jericho is often used in cultural and spiritual practices as a symbol of renewal and rebirth, and is also prized for its unique aesthetic qualities.

Place the rose of jericho in a shallow dish or bowl. Add enough water to cover the roots. The plant will start to uncurl in about 4 hours and reach full capacity in a few days. Change the water daily or every 2 days.

    __________________

Like all plants, the rose of Jericho has both new and old leaves. However, when this desert-dwelling plant becomes dehydrated, it curls up into a ball, with the old leaves forming the outermost layer. As a result, the plant's appearance may be altered when it is rehydrated. To remedy this, it is recommended to identify the dark brown old leaves and trim them before use. This will ensure that the rose of Jericho looks its best and is ready for any application.
